In the next few hours we'll be upgrading the software for this forum. The new version has additional features, a nice look, and a much more robust SPAMMER prevention system.

For now, I am manually dealing with over 100 spammer registrations per day, so a lot of good registrations are being lost in the daily account sweeps. That seriously limits our growth as a forum.

The new software forces spammers to go through a much more rigorous registration process, along with IP address checking for known spammer activity. In addition, all users of this software, worldwide, share information on spammer registrations.

We'll have much better growth, which will benefit us here are SIF, and also the NOT system. Neither are growing fast enough to sustain themselves long-term, at this point. As part of marketing NOT, I'll also be growing SIF for qualified new imagery. Only SIF members can submit to NOT.

Watch for the changeover today, most likely.

Ps Hope the foot is getting better.

My foot has healed up nicely, except it points toward my back now.

I can't tell whether I'm coming or going.

Very modern looking Darrell!

Definitely an improvement on the older forum.

Just loving the new look. Well done.

My colour is blue and green. Has Geoff got a special grey / pink version ?

I think I like the new look, even though I hate all change. Well, I used to hate all change until everyday and every way became change. Now I no longer have the time or energy to hate change.

And, Geoff--where did you get that baseball mitt? You know cricket players are not allowed to own those things?

Nice look, Darrell. Glad that it reduces the spammer burden for you. I just wish the sign-on default weren't "Remember me."

Quick question, not worth starting a new thread. Can everyone see the Alamy forum...all I get is a 'your account has been suspended message...until 2018.

I cannot even see it as a guest. Forumus interruptus.

Not the worst thing to happen I guess. I did write to MS some time back asking for my forum account to be terminated (keep me away from temptation) but that was last year.

Wassup?

That's a pity, I was hoping it might have been more permanent.
