I'm a grandad at last. I never thought it would happen. I've been broody for years. Ben arrived 19 days early, so he's only 6lbs, but perfect.
Heather is 31 and my younger daughter . The pressure is on Becky now. Younger sister and her best friend both producing within three months of each other. Liz and I can't wait to babysit.

Congrats Mick, on your family! I'm gonna bet you'll need some extra memory cards and batteries now for the extra photo OPs that are coming your way.

Thanks all. Ilva, Heather is pretty pleased with herself. Doesn't it show?.
Greg. How true. More cards needed indeed.

Ah, look at the little sweetie face, a child of the New Millennium. The wonders he will see! :D

Congratulations,

Congratulations. I have six, but they are growing up. But then, I was 17 when I began having my own babies.

This will cause baby fever in the family for sure.

My wish for you: May little Ben have a laid-back, happy disposition, and may colic never darken his door. Then he will be a blessing to babysit. :D

Wonderful Mick! I envy you, always wanted grandchildren, but never quite figured out how to get some without passing through "children" first...

He's gorgeous!

Thanks ladies and Edo. He is adorable. I've dreamt about this for years. I'm not disappointed. He is so laid back.
When will he be able to play football with grandad?. A few weeks yet I suppose. I've already got a train set for him, but I'm looking after it for him, for a year or two. I won't break it. Honest.;)

If I'd known, I'd have had the grandchildren first.

Congrats Mick--what a beautiful family!
I'll lift a pint to their health on this side of the pond--you must be thrilled!

Absolutely Pete. Though at the moment I have a problem with my cat Billy. He plays with anything and everything. He has about ten cats toys he has inherited and accumulated over the years. However, he has branched out. My paint brushes, paint tubes, pens keep getting nicked and disappear under the sofa. Yesterday he had my D80 halfway off the table, playing with the strap.
I think I'm going to have to nail his tail to the floor.;)
