Stock Imaging Forum: Marianne - Viewing Profile

Since my grandmother first put a camera in my hands at the age of six, I've been hooked. I spent more than a dozen years practicing law, but my camera was never far from my side. Eventually, I wanted to spend more time with my family and so I became a freelance writer. Shot photos to illustrate my stories and many made it to the front pages of the newspapers and the covers of the magazines I write for. These days, I often find I shoot more than I write, but I do love both.

Last summer, I began exploring stock photography as a means to supplement my income. I'm slowly building my portfolio. I'm also taking classes and working part time as a photographer's assistant, learning more about studio lighting, photo-retouching and the business side of things--and how to photograph food. I'm available on occasion to assist photographers in the NY Metropolitan area.

My goal is to travel more and capture life abroad--as well as here in my own backyard.
