Has anyone any experience of Arkreligion images . They are what you might call a semi specialist agency of religious images. I have accumulated a reasonable number of images of churches and religious sites from my travels around europe and was considering a sub to arkreligion. I would , however , appreciate any opinions before doing so.

Trevor,
Not directly but a friend of mine who shoots a lot of religious imagery, e.g. processions in the Holy land, practices of Judaism etc placed work with them and was very disappointed. That is some time back but I certainly wouldn't place location images with a religious specialist. Small market for non-rites images.
If they are placed non-ex then not a problem other than your time.
Most religious sites are essentially travel location sites, St Peter's is going to sell more times as travel than for the Christian Herald.
Also, look at their address....it says everything.

Thanks Geoff for the useful reply. They are non-ex but are also linked to Art Directors & Trip , another more travel related site . I noticed a very well represented Alamy contributor ( ie approx 65000 images on Alamy! ) also seems to have quite a lot of images on both of these sites. That is what got me wondering. Still a bit undecided. As I`m not fully pro I like to use my spare time constructively as with 2 young kids it is rather precious as i`m sure you can imagine !!

Trevor,
You can google street view via Trip. To me it shows that not a large staff is employed at the 'offices' (assuming the street view address is correct) which is my first rule of libraries. Staff numbers are proportionate to sales.
You could ring them for a 'general' conversation about submitting and ask how many people are dedicated arkreligion staff......that will answer more questions than any of us can.
